Well, today was a regular day, no big emotions or confusions, so I guess it's the perfect time to write something meaningless and go on with the promise I made. Anyway, here it is, 20 random facts about me (a faceless internet persona), have fun!
DAY 01 - 20 Random Facts About Myself
1. I listen to Lofi Hip Hop whilst writing. I used to listen to classical music, but the intensity of it usually made me pay more attention to the music than to what I was doing, so I stopped doing it. Though, I mostly study in silence.
2. My hair is so dark people tend to ask me if it is dyed, but it's just always been this black. (which is also something that connects me and my grandpa)
03. One of my favorite hobbies is grocery shopping. Especially when I get to do it on sunday mornings.
04. I am a chemical engineering student who lives by the constant fear of not being good enough to get this degree.
05. I like to keep mental lists of favorite things, like movies to watch when hopeless and music to think of my childhood.
06. When I was a kid I used to collect insects and I even had an ant farm and some spiders I kept in my room.
07. I'm awfully short (154cm or 5'1 feet, I guess, we don't really use feet in Brazil) and I have somewhat of a baby face, so strangers always think I'm much younger than I really am.
08. My go-to movies when I'm sad and need some cheering up are: Stardust (also the book, Neil Gaiman is my one true love) and Pride and Prejudice (2005, also the book..again, Jane Austen owns my heart)
09. I am a die hard Star Wars fan who is also 100% in love with two very specific Star Trek series (TNG aka The Next Generation and Discovery..yes, the new Netflix one, I'm not that original)
10. When I was a kid I used to go to "praying classes" (I don't really remember its name, but it happened in the catholic church next to my old house) and one day they showed a movie called Kirikou and The Sorceress which was supposed to make us scared of african religions, but only made me a fan of this kind of animation.
11. I love most kinds of animation and I am somewhat of an anime fan (distant weeb screams)
12. I think I have pretty nails and I don't know what to do with this opinion.
13. I love making mixtapes and playlists, if you ask me I will probably make one for you in an instant
14. I love reading/watching (video)essays and learning about strange stuff. Last year, when I was in senior year, I was so interested in a question I found on my biology textbook I read a whole thesis on the domestication of wolves and how they were divided into the wild actual wolf species and our so beloved pets, good old dogs. If you ask me, I will probably ramble about that to you too.
15. On a similar note, I'm a huge science nerd and a huge oversharer, so my friends have some stuff to complain about when I discover something new. (once I sent photos of animal fetuses to my friend's group chat,' cause I was obsessed with the similarities they share with us.)
16. I think I am a bit weird and I kinda like it.
17. I love talking, but I am a massive introvert and crazy shy, so I am always grateful when people come talk to me since I can't start conversations, but I keep adding to it when started.
18. I have a teddy bear I sleep with sometimes, I got him for my 18yo birthday and it's funny that now that I was supposed to grow into somewhat of an adult I was finally able to have one (whom I love, a lot)
19. I love losing myself in bookstores and libraries. It is also part of my idea of a perfect date.
20. I actually like when things like books, movies and projects come to an end, it inspires me instead of making me sad and that's how I am feeling about this post.
